The applications are to be submitted to the responsible agency of the Federal Republic of Germany abroad (in Israel to the Office for Personal Compensation Abroad [OPC]). To be submitted are the paid original invoices and other prescriptions.

The doctor\'s invoices must include the name of the claimant, exact designation of the illness suffered as well as all the details of individual treatment received and the charged amounts for this treatment.

The medicament vignette must also appear on the prescriptions as well as on the receipts in Italy and France.

The invoices are to be summarised as far as possible for longer periods of time but for least three months. Independent of this such applications for reimbursement are only to be lodged when the sum made valid exceeds a value of EURO 200. However, applications for reimbursement shall be made at the latest within a period of one year.

Dentures: Previous agreement of the compensation authorities is not neces-sary in such cases but we would recommend that you refer back prior as to whether and to what extent the costs can be reimbursed. Your inquiry is to be accompanied by a detailed cost estimate with current dental status.

The application for reimbursement is to be submitted to the Federal German agency abroad or to the Office for Personal Compensation Abroad [OPC] in Israel except in the case when you have inquired previous and in this case the application is to be lodged directly with the compensation authorities.

Prostheses, orthopaedic and other aids: Reimbursement applications are to be made directly to the responsible compensation authorities.

An (informal) application for previous approval is necessary in so far as the total amount exceeds € 1000. To be appended to the application is the medical prescrip-tion and a detailed cost estimate.

3) Supplementary cost for diet food

Reimbursement applications are to be made directly to the responsible compensation authorities. To be appended is the written prescription for special food by the doctor treating the patient. This prescription must include precise details as to the diet to be kept. General printed matter or indications are not adequate in this case.
