Welcome

A warm welcome to the Internet pages of the Landesamt für Finanzen, Amt für Wiedergutmachung in Saarburg, Germany.

With the services we are addressing primarily the recipients of compensation pensions under our care.

Apart from providing up-to-date information we want to overview the compensation regulations under the Federal German Restitution Law [BEG] and the Hardship Funds of the State of Rhineland Palatinate, the implementation of which comes under our area of responsibility. Apart from those relevant subjects that you are particularly interested in, you will find detailed information, leaflets and forms ready for you to download which enable you to communication with "your" compensation authorities and file factual procedure applications. Moreover, in the "FAQ" we have covered typical situations and questions which arise in the case of "pensions in compliance with the Federal German Restitution Law [BEG]", "health treatment according to the Federal German Restitution Law [BEG]" and "hardship funds of the State of Rhineland Palatinate", all of which are based on examples and give you advice and procedure instructions.

This has been rounded off by a small section on the history of restitution administration in Rhineland-Palatinate and also gives you a general picture of the compensation benefits provided by the Federal Republic of Germany with extended links to take matters further should you be interested.

Hopefully, by providing this information we have been successful in making the difficult subject of compensation legislation more transparent and have been able to help you in the realisation of your claims. Moreover, should you still have more questions, please do not hesitate to approach us directly in these matters. In the future we will be making every effort to regularly update and supplement the information provided. However, as far as this is concerned we also have to rely on your co-operation. As a consequence I would be most pleased to have your criticism, suggestions and needs to help up us draw up this information.

Yours most sincerely,
Jürgen Pauly
(Head of department)

Please note:
Procedure applications must be made in writing and bear the original signature of the claimant or a lawyer (with his or her powers of attorney). Moreover, all the forms made available for downloading from these Internet pages must be returned to us as original documents and are to bear your original signature. Unfortunately applications or other forms cannot be accepted or processed by us in digital form with facsimile signature. We would ask you to please be understanding in this matter.
